Reduction Blockprint.

My friend asked me to do a picture of her horse who is now 24 years old. I thought of doing one with her in it, but ended up with this view where her intimate presence (also implied in the title) can be imagined as they go crossing this glorious field of sunflowers. She had to remind me that the mane is always on the right side of the neck, just as the rider always mounts from the left.
I was excited, anticipating the 2 dark colors of her horse against the brilliant yellow of the field.
