My work centers on spaces from my imagination that reflect reality but don't represent it, much like a dream. When beginning this painting, The Mystery of the Many Moons, I was thinking about my fascination with the moon as a subject in many of my paintings. I started with a series of angles and the painting grew from there. The moons got more decorative as I continued to paint except for a few that retained their moon-like appearance. As I was painting, the title jumped into my head.
