Oil on canvas

This is the view from the door of my apartment in the early morning in Mexico City. The promise of the morning is beautiful and it contrasts with the urban setting. The reference was a quick photo of the morning sky, and much later I decided to recreate that moment. Downtown Mexico City is noisy and full of people but at 6am it is peaceful and fresh. This the part of the contrast I experience every day.
